Brothers and Sisters,
This is to inform you that we may have a strike that may start on Sunday, 15 May 2016, in Local Lodge 2777 on the DynCorp T-6 COMBS contract.  Brother Garrett and myself have been assigned to run the strike if it takes place.
Below is the Strike Gates Schedule for the DynCorp T-6 COMBS contract at NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field.  There is 18 in the bargaining unit and they have to cover 1 gate at NAS Pensacola and 1 gate at NAS Whiting Field.
The Strike Committee and the Negotiation Committee can not be on the Strike Gates Roster.  The requirement is there has to be at least 1 from the bargaining unit on the gates at all times.  The Committee did a good job with what they have in bodies.  The bargaining unit employees will have to pull gate strike duties every day during the strike.
Which brings me to request you contact your assigned Local Lodges to request volunteers to walk the picket line.  We need to have at least 4 or 5 people on the gates at all times for visibility, so we will need volunteers to help cover the gates.  From the schedule the Strike Committee did, this is what I think we will need for volunteers for NAS Pensacola with the same number of volunteers for NAS Whiting Field:
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
12 Midnight to 4 am – 4 volunteers
4 am to 8 am – 3 volunteers
8 am to 12 Noon – 3 volunteers
12 Noon to 4 pm – 3 volunteers
4 pm to 8 pm – 3 volunteers
8 pm to 12 Midnight – 4 volunteers
Total Volunteers for NSA Pensacola – 20 per day
Total Volunteers for Whiting Field – 20 per day
Total Volunteers Needed for both NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field is 40 per day.  I know this is a very high number of volunteers to get everyday of a strike but we need as many as we can get every day.
We will also need each Local Lodge to request their members to donate to the Local Lodge 2777 food bank that is being set up to provide food to the strikers and their families.  We will also need bathroom items such as toilet paper, diapers, after shave, deodorant, etc.  If the food and other items are not used for the strike, everything will be given to the area charities.
Please let me know if you have questions.  Also if you get volunteers, I will need names, contact phone number and times available.  It is going to take a lot of scheduling and moving volunteers between the strike gates, so additional Reps may be needed to help out.
Additional information will be coming as we get closer to Sunday, 15 May, and please pray that a solution can be reached prior to the strike starting.  Thank you all in advance for your help.
